Reading a peptide label
A listing or label normally carries the following items.
- Name
- The compound name, or the component names for a blend. Names vary between suppliers and databases, so product pages here link a PubChem record to show which one is meant.
- Size in mg
- The number in the name, such as "10mg", is the stated amount of material per vial or pack in milligrams. 1 mg is one thousandth of a gram.
- Vial
- The container. Peptide research materials are commonly supplied as a dry (lyophilized) powder.
- SKU
- A stock-keeping code used to identify an exact item and size, for example N-Acetyl-Selank-10mg. Quote it when you contact us.
- Original container label
- Under the OSHA laboratory standard, labels on incoming containers of hazardous chemicals must not be removed or defaced (29 CFR 1910.1450(h)(1)(i)).
